    Tenimyu

The Prince of Tennis musicals (Tenimyu) started back in 2003. It is a series of liveaction stage musicals that are based on the anime and manga. Each new show covered a different arc of the manga storyline. Slight changed were made to the musicals such as there being no female character.

There are three different types of performances within Tenimyu:

    1. Plot/Story Musicals. These follow the story from the Prince of Tennis.
    2. Live Concerts. These are known as Dream Lives. These consist of small skits to alternative performances of the songs.
    3. Special Re-Runs. These are just as they say; re-runs of previous musicals.

There are also Graduation Shows which is the last musical played by the Seigaku cast before new actors place them.

The musical is still running. It is currently on the second half of the final match between Rikkai.

As of right now, there have been 23 (correct me if I'm wrong, please) different musicals (this includes re-runs and Dream Lives). Tenimyu is going on its 7th year of running, and it doesn't seem like its popularity is fading.

For more information about the different casts, please look through the sub-sections.

If you haven't check out Tenimyu yet, I would personally suggest you go see what you're missing.
